In the wake of last week’s news about Batman: Arkham Knight’s season pass, Warner Bros has revealed more of what players can expect the pricey season pass to bring.

In a post on Facebook, the company noted that while it wasn’t ready to unveil every aspect of the content that the season pass will encompass, it did let loose enough details to tempt. Firstly, in one piece of planned DLC, players will be able to dive into a prequel story expansion, Batgirl: A Matter of Family, told from Batgirl’s perspective.

Then, the Season of Infamy DLC will bring new story missions featuring legendary super-villains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features.

Further included in the Season Pass will be Gotham City Stories, in which players which step into the shoes of The Dark Knight’s key allies in narrative missions extending their storylines, from both before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Also mentioned were legendary Batmobiles with themed tracks and crimefighter challenge maps. The company noted that, while the story of Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Trilogy will come to a close on June 23rd, it is excited to continue telling stories and delivering more content to explore and play through in the six months following the game’s release.

“We’ll be building more narrative, more missions, more challenges and more characters and vehicles that we want players to experience, even though they didn’t fit into the storyline of Batman: Arkham Knight,” it added. In short, it looks like this Season Pass will be much more than a cash grab, but rather, a genuine effort to expand the game beyond its closing credits. It’s tough to argue with that, especially if Batman: Arkham Knight turns out to be as fulfilling as it currently looks. Need more convincing? Then catch up on the latest trailer below.
