New Sherlock trailer shows a tough new season lined up for 2017
By Staff Writer 25 July 2016 | Categories: NewsIf you, like us, are a Sherlock fanatic, then good news to start the week. Coming in 2017 will be the next season, with a new teaser trailer having been released on the BBC’s YouTube channel.
Without counting the 2015 December special, "The Abominable Bride" set in Victorian London, you might remember that Series 3 ended with Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) basically being exiled from the UK, only to be promptly recalled once Moriarty popped up everywhere.
Indeed, the new trailer starts with Moriarty (Andrew Scott) asking: “Did you miss me?” From there things just keep getting worse, not just for our increasingly scraggy looking hero, but everyone close to him, except for Mycroft (Mark Gatiss) who seems just as unperturbed as always.
Also keep an eye out for another classic British thespian, Toby Jones (Berberian Sound Studio), who is slated to star as another villain in the series. Although initially thought he might be playing British politician, Boris Johnson, who spearheaded the UK’s Brexit campaign, this proved nothing but idle speculation.
Hit play on the trailer below to start wondering how you will ever manage to hold on before your Sherlock fix comes 2017.
