Spidey battles Vulture in the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 9 December 2016 | Categories: NewsA couple of days ago, Sony Pictures (who owns the movie rights to Spider-Man) piqued our interest with a teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Now, the fully fledged trailer that we've been craving for has arrived with plenty to dissect.
Firstly, this isn't quite an origin story, as Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland) has had his powers for a year or so, and after his cameo in Civil War, he has been taken under the wing of one Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), better known as Iron-Man. Parker also has to contend with the usual high school drama, while trying to protect the city from a new villain in the form of the Vulture (no official actor credit yet).
One other potential bad guy could be Venom, if rumours from the recent Brasil Comic-Con are to be believed. Even if Venom does not feature, it seems like Spidey has his hands full, as seen in 2:05 of the trailer below. Hit play and see for yourself.
