Stephen King’s Pet Sematary gets a trailer
By Staff Writer 11 October 2018 | Categories: newsStephen King is so hot right now. There’s a string of series and remakes with his name on it, while we have now been treated with a trailer for the new Pet Sematary, arguably one of the more frightening works in his opus.
Based on the 1983 book which was turned into a movie in 1989, Pet Sematary sees Louis (Jason Clarke, Zero Dark Thirty) and Rachel Creed (Amy Seimetz, Alien: Covenant) move their family out into the sticks. There’s also a cat, a busy road and a pet cemetery with some supernatural powers - put these three together and you are halfway to a good horror recipe.
Directed by Kevin Kölsch, Dennis Widmyer, who both cut their teeth on independent horror films, Pet Sematary will debut on 5 April 2019 in the UK. The question is, of course, will it be able to compete against the fright that we got from the 1989 movie? With the recent IT quite adept at going toe-to-toe with the original miniseries, we think it will all be good.
