The Walking Dead spinoff stakes itself two seasons
By Ryan Noik 11 March 2015 | Categories: newsDespite being beset by zombie’s, megalomaniacs, cannibals, and unexpected losses, the characters on The Walking Dead are nothing if not real survivors, while the show itself has already garnered itself five seasons. It looks like its spinoff series is cut from the same cloth, with it being announced that the imminent show can already count on two seasons (which is more than The Lottery managed to win).
Granted, the first season is short, at only six episodes, but on the positive side, it is expected to land this year still. The second season will then flight next year. Although the series has not yet been named, we do know where it will be set – Los Angeles – and it will follow a new cast of characters as they cope with the zombie outbreak. All indications are that the spinoff will chart what happened as the outbreak spreads, and perhaps transitions from pre-outbreak to the grim world we can’t tear our eyes from.
