Do you remember 1999's The Mummy? What a great film. Since its pre-Millennium release, the franchise's three follow-up films have been less impressive, which is probably why it was in need of a reboot. Instead of heading back to 1920s Egypt, however, the film is set in present day and enlists the talents of Tom Cruise.

The first official trailer has now seen the light of day, and save for the fancy quadruple eye parlour trick at the beginning, one would never know this is a reboot for the The Mummy. That is of course until the 1:45 mark, when Sofia Boutella (Kingsman, Star Trek Beyond) comes into the mix as the titular character. Oh, and Russell Crowe also features.

While we're unsure how this reboot will compare to the original, the trailer is jam packed with action in the final minute. Hit play below and see for yourself.
