Twitter rolls out Poll feature, with all voting secret
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 22 October 2015 | Categories: newsTwitter introduces a new feature today, with a Polls tweeting function coming to the social media site. The service allows users to create and take polls over a 24-hour long period, with voting completely secret. While the service is by no means revolutionary, it should prove a great way of getting a quick opinion on any number of current affairs.

In past years, Twitter has other means of conducting polls, with users posing questions online, and the company tracking replies. Other methods have been to tally hashtags as votes, or retweeting to vote. As such, this is indeed a quicker way of getting public opinion.
Twitter says the poll feature will rollout to both iOS and Android users over the next few days, as well as Twitter.com for those that prefer the comfort of their PC.
