Diana Prince has proven a box office hit in her solo outing as Wonder Woman, and given DC a much needed win in its battle with Marvel. To put its success in perspective, the film raked in a reported $389 in the United States to date, only being surpassed by The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises as far as DC films go.

Naturally, it's time to find out when a sequel is on the way. Luckily, Warner Bros. has confirmed just that, with Wonder Woman 2 set for release in December 2019.

Gal Gadot is set to reprise her starring role, while she is also in action taking on Steppenwolf later this year for Justice League. As for Wonder Woman's director, Patty Jenkins, The Hollywood Reporter says that negotiations are still ongoing for her to helm the project. With her input a significant part of Wonder Woman's box office success, we're assuming a deal will be hashed out fairly quickly.
