As fans of Google’s Chrome internet browser, we at TechSmart are happy to report that much needed Flash support has now been natively introduced into the latest stable build of the program (Chrome 5.0.376.86), which was released yesterday.

Previously, Flash support was only available in selected versions of Chrome’s developer and beta releases and was disabled for a period due to consistent errors. Given the number of pages and applications online which demand Adobe designed Flash support this comes as a welcome addition.

In our own experience, earlier versions of Chrome experienced serious issues with Flash based media, particularly within video and music streaming.

Despite Apple’s vocal opposition to the use of Flash online and within applications, it is still heavily used on the web and is continually updated by Adobe’s development team. Nonetheless, Apple CEO Steve Jobs recently made the decision to ban Flash from iOS devices.

Little is known currently how Google has chosen to integrate Flash into Chrome, nonetheless it makes a welcome addition for those who regularly use the browser.
