The Alien franchise has gotten a number of new films recently, but another fan favourite intergalactic hunter has not been feeling as much love from Hollywood. Until now, with a teaser trailer for The Predator dropping this week. The film is being written and directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3), who also starred alongside Arnie in the original movie.

As such, it would seem like The Predator is in good hands, but then again, the trailer below does little to amp up excitement. From what we can tell, the film is placed in present day around Halloween, when a mysterious package arrives at young boy's front door. The package contains all kinds of Predator gear, with the boy seemingly triggering the Predator's return.

This time round, the hunters have gotten an upgrade, splicing their DNA with other alien species. While we're not sure why they would actually do that, given the high value that their alien race places on honour and their own hunting abilities.

Nevertheless this film enlists some noteworthy talent, including Boyd Holbrook (Narcos), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse) and Sterling K. Brown (Black Panther) among others.
